The little things to brighten a day...

I've got to say, it's not been the best of times lately. It's not that bad, but it's not great either. With one thing and another I feel like there are too many important matters that are being neglected in my little world. Try as I might (and I really do) I seem to never get on top of things. Sometimes this passes me by and I figure 'I can not do it all'. Other times it weighs heavy on my wellbeing, making it harder to see the light side. Along the way though, when working out what on earth should take the priority, some of these little things help me find my perspective.

Pierre Hardy Wedges

I'm more than slightly obsessed with Pierre Hardy's wedge offerings this Spring/Summer.

These are SO cool! I of course love the pink and orange striped ones too. So girly and flirty! They remind me of old fashion candy. Yummy!
I think a big reason that I love them so much is the extreme height on these babies. That's how you make wedges sexy...

Flats are Shoes Too.

I know this is my life in heels and not my life in flats, but let's get real... certain occasions call for flats. Example? A birthday bbq!

I went shopping specifically to find some flats and knew I'd find something great on sale since all these crazy retailers have their Summer stuff on sale... EVEN THOUGH Summer has barely started. I will never understand that, but that's a whole different post.

I found these at Chloe and fell in love. They are my idea of a perfect Summer sandal. Soft buttery leather, the perfect shade of tobacco, and super comfortable too. The fact that they were 40% off was all the reason I needed to buy them, plus a similar pair in white.

I've really been into this cropped shirt thing and thought I'd give it a try. I had to pair it with these vintage high waisted shorts (culottes? haha) to make sure I didn't show too much belly. I'm not going for a '90s Britney Spears bare midriff thing.

Banksy likes my new shoes. He's checkin' um out.

I love this ring. I found it in Hong Kong and don't wear it nearly enough. Its coral enamel wrapped around to hold a coral shaped piece of glass.

More Tuesday musings...

Summer holidays underway...spent yesterday afternoon walking by the canal, feeding the ducks, watching baby moorhens scuttle along over lily pads. My house already looks like I am staging a cleaning/tidying strike (although I am not). The slower pace of life is starting to take effect. I even started reading a book, supplied to me by my lovely old friend L, who had read in my blog that I was after reading recommendations. Love to get stuff in the post.

Despite all good sense telling me not to, I went to a local boutique and bought another dress. I know. Willpower of a gnat. It was one of these Butter by Nadia Signature Wrap dresses and it was half price. These are satin, but my one is jersey and is palest, softest grey cotton and is just lovely. Did I mention it was half price? I had seen someone in one and as per usual with my dress crushes I had to have one. I know. Where to wear?

Loyal followers will know I have spent the last few months having dental issues, which sadly remain unresolved.  I now have a referral to an expert in facial pain, in an attempt to diagnose what on earth is going on. To say this has dominated my thoughts is an understatement; it's a strange thing living with pain day to day, no matter how positive you are, it does wear you down. Everything feels slightly tinged. So I shall see...fingers crossed.

Running Around

Lots of errands today! I just stole these shoes from our editorial closet at the office yesterday- New Harajuku Lovers mary janes! I don't think they're out yet but I'll let you know when they are. :)

Anyway- if you hadn't noticed a trend with my wardrobe lately, take a peek.

Am I becoming BORING and PREDICTABLE? Oh no! Look- I'm wearing like, the same outfit everyday? Weird. I'm obsessed with these skirts though. Thank you Brass Plum. Skirts and Summer. It just makes sense.

SIDE NOTE! These Harajuku Lovers flats are on sale at Heels.com! I love them and might actually BUY them because I never got them :( booo. They were featured in Teen Vogue and a bunch of other mags this season. YAY!

My Great Find

Lookie what I found on sale! Yay! I've always loved these Stella McCartney espadrille wedges, but when I saw them on final sale at Intermix I had to get them! They are so feminine and flirty. Perfect Summer shoes.

While I was in LA I got this tattoo too! Do you guys like it!?! It's a "Holy Cupcake".
:)

...gotcha! I'm totally kidding. I doodled that on my leg while I was sitting in the back seat of my friend's car on our way to LA. Did you believe me? I do love cupcakes though.

Good Deal for Spring!

I know my blog has been slow going in 09 so far, but it's not a sign of things to come, I promise. I'm just enjoying my time off from work- going out with my girl friends and getting into all kinds of trouble! haha

Anyway, a fellow blogger is selling their unworn Louboutins that are "a little too big" for their size 8 feet on ebay. I have them myself (I wore them for my engagement photos for our wedding magazine shoot) and LOVE them! They're super cute and high and perfect for warmer weather.

Here's the ebay link! Check them out- they're starting at only $100. My first pair of Louboutin's were a pair of his espadrilles. Just an FYI ;)
