Tumblr Roundup April1, 2011

Here's what I posted to my Tumblr this week...

Finally warming up!! Stella McCartney wedges ♥

These Louboutin Maggie's are one of the most uncomfortable pair shoes I own... but dang they look good!

It rained at the end of last week so I put on my DSquared2 "rain boots" ;)

My new Prada runway wedges! They ended up being lower than the original runway shoes, but they're still adorable.

Addicted to Glitter?

Gaga wearing the boots that the JC Lita boots were "inspired" by. LOVE ♥

Shoe INSANITY! I mean.... what??

I took this photo of my Fendi slingbacks... what beautiful lines!

 The same Fendi shoes

I snuck a shot of our new bebe glitter wedges I designed!!! Do you love them as much as I do!?!?!

And finally... a sick April Fools joke from Prada?? I hope so! Who would pay $1500 for these monsters? WHO??

Bebe Fall 2011 Runway Show

I don't really do runway coverage since I figure you guys can go to one of the big blogs for that... UNLESS it's a show that I designed the shoes for! Like this one :)

These runway shoes are part of my first collection for bebe. They picked this pointy toe pump in lots of bright colors. Cobalt, Red, Fuchsia, Yellow and Black- all with silver metal heels and toe caps.

It's hard to tell from the photos but the pumps are cut super low on the inside... SO sexy! What do you think about pointy silhouettes making a big comeback??

This dress is so cool...

I love how feminine and flirty the bebe collection looks. With that perfect edge of rocker chic. I'm excited to be working with them and am loving their direction!

The boot below is my favorite shoe in the whole collection! I wish there were better photos of the shoes :( I'll try to get some asap...

Valentines Schmalentines

Ben was gone on a business trip this Valentines Day so I was feeling pretty anti... hence the 3 day late post.

Instead of lighting some candles and staying home alone in the dark with my favorite dudes, Ben and Jerry, I got my ass up and put on some Valentine inspired footwear (adding a black heart necklace to match my mood) and headed out with some friends to the comedy club to see Harland Williams.

I heart these shoes! Unfortunately there half a size too small but they were the last pair on sale a while ago and I just had to get them. Some things are worth a little pain...

Friends and Fashion Week, The Dramatic Conclusion, Part 1

Ha! You like my blog titles lately don't you? There should only be one more to finish all these fashion week posts, I just have too much stuff to fit into one or two posts. You understand... ;)

Next up? Tuesday the 14th and another double runway show day.

First was Badgley Mischka and it was really beautiful. You guys know my friend Jess designs their shoes right? We now also do their Mark and James line, a younger more casual line. Both looked great and I loved the show. It was all so pretty and girly and I loved the bouncy soft curls and pink floral background.
Here are some of my favorite looks...

I'm really loving the whole 70's vibe that fashion has gone into. It's so feminine flouncy and flattering. FFFFFF

Some of my stalkerazzi shots...

barf.

heeeey girls!

Next up? The hot mess that was the bebe show. Ya I said hot mess. The line was a joke. It was literally a city block long and that was when I arrived at 6 when the shoe was supposed to start. The security didn't know what they were doing and were letting all kinds of people sneak in. People with assigned seats were waiting in line and when they announced that they were at full capacity at 6:30, people were pissed. I heard complaints from the press line- someone from a HUGE magazine was there and was not being let in. It was ridiculous.
Luckily I got pulled in by one of the girls running the show, but at that point the show was almost over and my seat was taken.
Hot. Mess.
I have no photos because I couldn't see sh*t and I'm butt hurt.

OMG and then the bebe after party!! hahahaha. It was ok. I took my friend Ana with. We hung out for a bit, had a drink and then left early to eat really quick. Then we came back and giiiiiirl... wouldn't you know the open bar was closed. No biggie. A $15 glass of wine it would be.
Then there was this douche of a bus boy, bus man really, who tried to take our drinks away (we set them on the table) and said "the free party is over" to which I replied, "that's ok. This was a $15 glass of shitty wine." He called me a liar and and a cheap bitch. I'm serious you guys. It was really psycho.
He quickly grew to hate us and kept walking by and calling us bitches... SO weird. And when we left I spilled my remaining drink on the table (THAT was bitchy, I know) and he chased us and SPIT on Ana!!!!!!! hahahahahaha. Insanity!!

Next up is the L.A.M.B show and my debut in Vogue. (sort of)

Ho Hum

I gotta be honest ladies... I've been finding it increasingly difficult not to yawn my way through shoe after shoe this season. Frankly I'm bored. I'm over gladiators (Don't think that means I won't be wearing the ones I already own) but I'm just ready for something new. I'm ready for these designers to shake things up. Introduce some new styles already. Okay. I'm done. But seriously! Does anyone else feel this way? Or am I just a crazy shoe blogger? (LOL! Obviously I wasn't done.)

Brice Pump - Bebe

Despite my rant above I really do like this pump by Bebe. Perhaps because it reminds me of this Dolce Vita pair I feature a few months ago but I never managed to get my grubby little hands on and then they were sold out everywhere. I am in desperate need of a new pair of black peep toe pumps but I'm thinking I'm going to splurge on some Loubies. However if I can't make that happen these may very well make the short list. I like the interest the textured leather lends to them and I'm still quite smitten with that exaggerated platform.

S is For Sssssnake

Bayard - bebe

The folks over at heels.com just put up a selection of shoes from bebe and for the most part I wasn't thrilled with them. They were a little too stripper-esque in my humble opinion. To take a look see for yourself just click here.

The Bayard however is delightful. I love a good snake print, it works so well as a neutral. The ultra thick platform will balance out the 4 and 3/4 inch platform quite nicely. A peep toe sling back is always a wonderfully flirty and feminine option. This particular shoe will pair well with all of those skirts and dresses once the weather warms.

Pretty Please with a Bow on Top

Yesterday my friends and I had brunch and did a little gift exchange. Since 6 out of 8 of us were a size 6, I brought a pair of Harajuku Lovers samples that I love but never got made.

I wore my favorite sweater as a dress and my new Yokoo Minnie bow in cranberry. I'm telling you guys, I'm obsessed with these. They make every outfit cuter. ;)
They'd make really great holiday gifts and are totally adjustable so they'll fit anyone!

AMAZING News!!

Good morning friends!! ;)

I'm up late working/sketching/tweeting and I came across THIS!

Bebe has a very Balmain inspired leather jacket for a LOT less than the real deal. And unfortunately, a lot less than I got mine for. Oh well.
I actually love the bebe one- it's a lot less aggressive in the shoulder padding and if you wanted a little DIY project you could add the little dangly thingies yourself ;)

The Balmain jacket (HERE at Luisaviaroma) will set you back almost $10,000... yikes.
While the bebe jacket (HERE on bebe.com) is yours for under $200!

Is it just me or does the leather actually look better on the bebe one?? Weird, right? What do you guys think?? Great deal or no?

I have done my good deed for the day. Maybe now I can sleep.

xoxo

Bebe Launch Party

Hello friends! Sorry for the lack of posts- I was in NY for the show and then had a beautiful sunny weekend at home. :)

Images from our bebe launch party have been uploaded to WireImage! Here are some of them.

It was really fun and we had a good turn out. The catering company we hired was AMAZING. All the food was delicious and even better- the all male wait staff were models or something because these boys were HOT! Hot boys always make for a good time. ;)

Oh- and did you notice my beautiful new peep toe boots? My one and only purchase in NY this trip. They are Miu Miu and I love them! I'll take better pictures later cause they are super cute.

Twitter was down that night but I was trying to invite all my readers in NY to come. Stupid internet!
