According to this article, British people are becoming increasingly obsessed with keeping their homes clean. I must admit, I think a lot of the homes I have visited a hardly spotless.

Hopefully, some of these cleanliness-obsessed Britons may put 2+2 together and see that removing shoes at the door and asking visitors to do the same makes a huge difference to keeping homes clean.
