Have You Found Your Voice?

I've been meaning to try this whole "maxi-skirt in the winter" look. I like it. Alot.
A few bloggers who have already fabulously rocked this look!

Sequin Beanie/hat from Target

I was putting together a lesson for my class and came across some questions that stopped me dead in my tracks. I thought you would benefit from those questions.

Have you found your voice yet? This is how you start. Answer the following questions...

1. What are you really good at? (talent)
2. What do you love doing? (passion)
3. What does the world need that you can get paid to do? (need)
4. What do you feel you should do? (conscience)

Got you thinking too? Let me know the answers in the comments:)

Happy MLK DAY!

Movie Hair

(Thrifted Army Shirt/ Target Harem-ish pants/Target Scarf and Tee)

I'm alive. I'll get back into the blogging groove eventually.  Promise.

Every time I wear my hair in this little retro updo, I get a different reaction.
So far, I've been told my hair  looks like hair from the movie "A Few Good Men" (yay) and "Celie from The Color Purple" (boo).  I've been getting bored with my hair lately so I'm trying different styles to get me out of my funk.
P.S. Lately I'm all about pants and flats. Go figure. I think it has to do with the change in weather. Or it could be that I can't be bothered with most things lately. I'm sure it's a phase

Fade to Black

Here are a few epiphanies I've had as of late:

1. Apparently there is such a thing as a Money Tree but it doesn't seem to grow in my yard. The streets are flooded with Christmas shoppers. I want a money tree too:(

2. The American Apparel store is fabulous! Why have I been so reluctant to look past all the leotards and Dance fever gear to appreciate their great fitting shirts? Oh wait, I remember...their PRICES are a bit much for a simple T shirt! But I still like it.

3. There is such a thing as too much Christmas Music!
4. Any Jackson 5 Holiday music is an exception to #3.
5. Christmas stresses me out but I still love it. I'm all about that Baby Jesus!

The below pic is basically what I will look like for the next two weeks. It's just too easy to wear all black sometimes. I thrifted this military jacket months ago for three bucks. The turtle neck shirt/dress is from American Apparel too. I wore it as a dress to a holiday party...Don't scratch your heads...it was cute:)
I know I will never own these lovelies (click here) so I am pretty excited about finding these affordable versions by Calvin Klein. Love them!Calvin Klein Carley Pumps
P.S.- I am delirious. Must. Get. More. Sleep.
