Less Stretch, More Sass

With all these leggings and jeggings and sweat pants that look like skinny jeans and jeans that stretch to 10x their original size, it's hard to wear anything else. I've gotten so comfortable with comfort. Every once in a while though, I like to pull out the true denim. The stiff, heavy kind.
My legs were so confused with all that breathing room...

I love these shoes! There is so much WOOD ;) shown for Spring trends and I just love the color on this. The rust leather and tonal bottom.... great. Plus my sistergirlfriend Jess designed them so I extra love them!

Family Matters

This month my amazing friend/co-worker/sisterfromanothermother Jess and I were interviewed by Footwear Plus Magazine. It's a cool article- you should check it out. You can read it by CLICKING HERE and going to "current issue" then go to page 18. Unless you have super human vision... in that case, here you go. Read it here....

I've told you guys about Jess before and I've asked her to be a contributor to this blog but she's kinda shy ;)
Jess and I have been friends since we we can remember and now have the amazing privilege of working together and being married to two amazing dudes that genuinely get along like long lost soul mates. It's super cute.
It's amazing to have grown up together and to now travel to China together to design our respective shoe lines. I love her and am so proud of her!!

This is one of my favorite photos of us as kids. We were in Hawaii and I remember saying something like "Take a picture of us and I'm going to pretend like I've been massaging her all day!"
What a dork.

I LOVE YOU JESS!

Jet Setting

What do you wear on your very first ride in a private jet?? Louboutin of course!

I'm really very proud of myself. I bought my first pair of "sensible" shoes from Monsieur Louboutin. They are honestly the most comfortable (non flat) shoes I own! I love them.

(jean leggings- Dylan and George, top- I forget but I got it at Intermix , sweater- BP)

We were lucky enough to go to Napa in my dad's friends (the Azrias) plane. Florence Azria is a fellow shoe blogger!! So cool.
We went for my oldest and dearest friend, and fellow shoe designer, Jessica Palermo's wedding to the AMAZING Marc Salomon. It was so beautiful I wanted to stay forever.

I wore one of my favorite dresses from the Rodarte for Target collection to the wedding. I love this dress even though my dad says it makes me look pregnant. Pshh. What does HE know? ;)
I'm also wearing Betsey Johnson shoes but you can;t really tell...

My beautiful mom wore a Celine dress and Badgley Mischka shoes, my baby sis wore Betsey Johnson head to toe, and Katie there on the left is in Theory with Report ballet flats.

The bride wore Monique Lhuillier... and look STUNNING

It was such a beautiful wedding, and definitely the most fun wedding I've ever been to!

On the way home it was all work!

Just a little champagne ;)

I've always wanted to fly private and I wasn't sure if I ever would. It was as cool as I imagined and I hope to do it again some day.

My Friends are Gorgeous AND Talented!

You guys have to check this out! My annoyingly beautiful and very talented friend Skully handcrafts these beautiful one of a kind veils, and when you see them you'll make up a reason to need a veil!
Check it out- En-Veil.com

Then there's one of my oldest and dearest friends, Jessica Palermo, who is getting married next month. We're going to celebrate her bachelorette in a really exciting way! Well, In MY opinion anyway.

Jess is not your average bachelorette. She's incredibly creative (she designs Badgley Mischka footwear and is our new and improved Charles Jourdan designer) and entertainingly quirky so when talking about what we should do for her party I knew she'd be into my sort of out there theme.
The idea came from Jess and I laughing about the average party where girls wear embarrassing condom covered veils and are surrounded by their scantily clad girl friends. Not really our style.
I thought it would be really cool and glamorous to sort of do the opposite. To have all the girls dress in sexy black dresses and vintage black veils (enter the En-Veil tie-in) and call it "mourning the death of her singlehood"... yes I'm serious, and to my pleasant surprise- Jess loved the idea!

Doesn't that sound fun!?
What fun crazy things have you guys done for a bachelor/bachelorette party?? Spill it!

Crocodile Dress and a Hose

I wore my Christipher Kane for Topshop dress and before going out Jess and I had a fun little impromptu photoshop with the puppies.

These are my new YSL shoes and I love everything about them. Best part? Totally comfortable.

Fall? Are You There??

Isn't Fall supposed to be here already? It was 86 degrees today!
Jess and I went power shopping at South Coast Plaza, so a pair of cute LAMB flats were in order!

(skirt- Kimchi & Blue, tank- Silence + Noise, belt- Urban Outfitters, shoes- LAMB, bag- YSL)

So, as you can see I cut bangs again. You like? I feel like myself again. :)
My Christopher Kane for Topshop dresses came in just now and I'm REALLY excited to wear them!! They look really great and the quality is good, except for the zipper on one of the dresses. It totally sticks, but I guess that's an easy enough fix.
I also got some new shoes (shocker, I know) and I think I'm going to rock them to go out with my friends tomorrow night in LA. I'll post as soon as I get back for sure!

Well, until then, have a good weekend! It's Friday so don't forget to tell your friends to follow me on Twitter! :)

YIPPEE!

Home Sweet Home!

OMG you guys!! I missed home SO much! And the blog... I really missed the blog. :)

So, OK. I amidst my 10 working days in China was ONE fun day of shopping in Hong Kong! Real fun. Jessie (life long friend, fellow shoe designer) and I went shopping and I scored some great stuff.

Loving this NARS lip pencil in Dragon Girl. I've been wearing it every day and I really love the saturated matte red color- the blueness in the red makes my teeth look extra white and sparkly! Bonus.

And while I'm on this red kick- check out this awesome ring!! Ahhhh! It's so different, I adore it. It's red and gold coral holding a piece of crystal in the shape of coral. Love love love.

I found it at OnPedder but I don't know who makes it.

And finally... the piece I DIE DIE DIEEEEE for...............

No words. I effing love it. I can't wait to take better pics of it!!

I know, I know. No shoes!?!? Well, I am saving those for later ;) I am so exhausted and need a little nap. I'll be back tomorrow! I missed you all and hope you forgive me for my lack of posts. haha

XOXOXOX

Birthday Shoes

If we start at the end we have this... and a pair of achey feet.

My birthday was super fun! I had dinner with a few of my amazing friends and then went to a local bar to... well, get trashed and party.

Ben got me a NEW CAMERA!!! Yay! Finally I'll have some decent pictures on here, can you believe it!? :)

My sister Katie and my friends Michelle and Alex

My favorite shoe girl Jessie Palermo

Not sure what's going on here (?) But it's the only shot I have showing my shoes. haha

Anyway- Thank you all for my birthday wishes :) Here's to another year of blogging. ;)

Dinner with a Shoe Girl...

So my friend Jessie who I've added as an author on here, yet who hasn't posted since her first post (total guilt trippage) got engaged to a LOVELY young man named Mark, so we figured we should all get together and celebrate! We went to Gulfstreem in Newport and it was DEEE-LISH!
I literally ate every single bite. oops.

I can't find my camera's USB cord so my camera is stuck with a cutie pic of us at dinner together!! :( Booooo. Why cant Olympus just use a regular freaking UBS.

But I digress.

Oh well. Here's what I wore.

(jeans-JBrand, blazer- Kenna-T, shoes- Fendi)

I LOVEEEE these Fendi shoes. They are so rad! I love the sexy cutouts and the slight cone heel. I really like all these open/closed shoes happening. They're great transition styles.
These are in super soft suede too, which I think makes them extra rich. Plus, any shoe that requires a zipper to get into is OK by me!

Readers, Meet Jessie. Jessie, Meet Readers...

So I asked my (literally) life long friend Jessica Palermo to contribute to my blog from time to time. She's my partner in design for Hale Bob and she also does Badgley Mischka footwear on her own. Our dad's are business partners and best friends. Jess and I have VERY different style, which I think is the most exciting part about us designing together.

Anyway- she's going to post soon and I just wanted to give her a little intro. ;)
She's way more fashion savvy than I am and was featured on The Sartorialist blog a few months ago. She'll hate me for telling you that but I'm not making her a blog administrator so she can't do anything about it! BWA-HA-HA!
